An expanding boutique wealth management firm sought a more efficient platform for communication and collaboration. Staff needed tools to securely share documents and obtain sensitive client information. Additionally, several key firm members operated remotely and required access to firm resources while on the road.
We first decommissioned the firm’s existing server, setting up an Office 365 portal instead. We then provided users with the most current Microsoft Office software. This meant that Office 365 could serve as enterprise email, contact management, and shared calendar. Additionally, we configured Microsoft SharePoint for secure cloud document management. A network multi-function machine was installed so that users could print from or scan to local and mobile devices. Users then had access to shared resources either on site or on the road. The server decommissioning and data migration took place after hours. Once this was complete, we updated user devices as needed and ensured that all devices were synchronized with the email, contact, and calendar server. In addition, we deployed a managed firewall to protect the firm website from cyber-attack and allow for a redundant internet connection.
Productivity and office efficiency increased, and staff were able to securely obtain and share sensitive client information both internally and externally. Our regular consulting assisted the firm in streamlining their use of the document center and in managing updated devices. Overall, our services ensured that the firm has the necessary tools for a smooth expansion process.
