Typically you may encounter issues with cross generation file sync and file display issues. For example, someone scans a document into a network share and it fails to appear in the directory until a reboot or login/logoff sequence. We have found that in many instances this is repaired by disabling the SMBV2 service.
Microsoft has detailed descriptions of what is necessary for both windows 7/8 and Server 2008/2012.
The two commands that must be run from an elevated Power Shell prompt are:
Windows 8/Server 2012
Set-SmbServerConfiguration -EnableSMB2Protocol $false
Windows 7/Server 2008
Set-ItemProperty -Path “HKLM:SYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesLanmanServerParameters” SMB2 -Type DWORD -Value 0 -Force
After running these commands you will need to reboot your OS
